MATCH PREVIEW: Peterborough United vs. Oldham Athletic

Oldham Athletic travel to the ABAX Stadium tomorrow afternoon to face Peterborough United (7.45pm kick off).

Latics head into the game full of confidence after taking four points from a possible six in the last two games.

A goalless draw against local rivals Bury was followed up by a 2-1 win over Oxford United.

Striker Lee Erwin scored two headers to secure the victory which lifted Latics five points clear of the relegation places.

That also meant Latics had only lost one of the last eight games, which is a good record.

Peterborough United come into the game on the back of a 3-3 draw against Chesterfield in midweek.

Posh led twice in the game before securing a point against the league’s second to bottom side.

Manager Grant McCann will still have his eyes on the play off places so will set his side out to cause Latics problems.

Gaffer John Sheridan will have a tough decision to make at left back should Rob Hunt not be fit for tomorrow’s game.

Defender Jamie Reckord could come back in but Josh Law’s performance on Tuesday night could earn him a starting spot.

However, other than Hunt, Latics have no new injury worries ahead of the game.

For Peterborough United, Leo Da Silva Lopes returns from suspension for this game, while Marcus Maddison remains a doubt with an ankle injury.

Jermanie Anderson and Gwion Edwards definitely miss out through in injury.

Speaking ahead of the game, the gaffer was delighted to welcome back the pair.

He said: “They are two players who have featured regularly for me so they will add to what we already have.

"Whatever team I pick will hopefully will get the result we are after. There might be possibly more changes.

"I’ve got a big squad and there is maybe one or two players maybe playing too many games but that’s a decision I’ll make. We are doing okay so I don’t want to mix too much up.”
