Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce an official partnership with The Quirky Catering Company.
Over the 2019/20 campaign, Quirky will now manage all kiosks inside Boundary Park and the match-day hospitality catering.
The company will bring a fresh new approach to the product on offer for supporters. A company which was born in September 2013, Ben and Craig started Quirky as a family owned hospitality and catering company.
They operate differently to many others in their field, using 14 chefs from a number of award winning venues.
Bringing new ideas to the club, they already work with the Oldham Beer Festival, Co-op and Rochdale AFC, alongside many other businesses in Greater Manchester.
One of the first ideas they have introduced is the Latics Lager from the Donkeystone Brewing Company, as well as looking into promoting different offers and putting seasonal products on sale to make the match-day experience better.
On the partnership, Ben Bootham from Quirky Catering said: "We are very excited about this partnership with Oldham Athletic and can't wait to get the kiosks to a level in which we can all be proud of using both local suppliers and staff.
"With this in mind we have already set up a collaboration with Donkeystone brewery to supply us with their outstanding beer and have already brewed a Latics Lager for us."
He added: "Our eventual aim is to have local food and beer served by local staff in clean and well staffed kiosks, that said it wont happen over night. We are currently looking at the facilities in each kiosk individually which will ultimately guide our product offering.
"We will also talk with the fans over the next few games to see what items they would like to see in the kiosks but chips, burgers, draught beer, curry, a gin bar and possibly cask beer as well as kiosk take-overs are all on the table.”
Whilst Ste James from the Donkeystone Brewing Company commented: "Donkeystone Brewing Co are pleased to have teamed up with The Quirky Catering Company to supply our home team Oldham Athletic with our beers for the fans at Boundary Park this season.
"We will be supplying ‘Latics Lager’ as well as a range of our IPA’s and Ales. It’s great to see the club supporting local businesses and we think this will become an exciting, long lasting relationship that will go from strength to strength."
