Dean Furman was handed his first cap for South Africa in tonight's friendly against Brazil.
Latics' captain was named in the starting line up for the friendly in Sao Paolo.
Furman was one of two news caps in the side, the other being Maccabi Haifa's Dino Ndlovu.
It was a great thrill for Furman as the Brazil side included the Chelsea trio of David Luiz, Ramires and Oscar as well as Dani Alves and Neymar.
