Mellor, Millar back at Boundary Park
Paul Dickov believes David Mellor and Kirk Millar will have benefitted from their month-loan loan at non-league Chorley.Latics' manager says it was important the pair got to play regular first-team football for the Evo-Stik League, Premier Divison side.
Mellor (pictured) and Millar each made nine appearances with Millar scoring one goal.
Dickov said: "I have spoken to Garry Flitcroft (Chorley's manager) and he has been delighted with how both of them have done.
"Had they stayed here, there would only have been a couple of reserve-team games.
"They have each played nine games and it was great for them to play proper football rather than sitting in the stand here on a Saturday."
