Manager tackles former club
Latics' draw against Derby County in the first round of the Capital One Cup has special resonance for Lee Johnson.Manager Johnson (pictured) had a loan spell with the Rams in January/February 2010.
And he says he remains friends with Nigel Clough, his No 2 Gary Crosby and captain Richard Keogh.
Johnson, who made seven appearances for Derby, said: "It was a special draw as I played for them for a short time.
"Nigel Clough and Gary Crosby are good guys and Richard Keogh is also a good friend."
Analysing the fixture, Johnson continued: "I am pleased. It is a good draw as we are at home to Derby who are a massive club.
"It will be good to play against a team of that quality and stature and it will be interesting to see how we do against them."
