Korey back at Boundary Park
Latics have pulled off a transfer coup by signing midfield man Korey Smith.Manager Lee Johnson has beaten off fierce competition from other clubs to capture the 22-year-old midfield man, who has just been released by Norwich City, on a two-year contract from July 1st.
Smith had a 10-match loan spell with Latics at the end of last season.
And he impressed to such a degree that Johnson made him one of his priority transfer targets.
Smith had been at Norwich for seven years, the last five of which were as a professional.
He made his league debut for the Canaries in April 2009.
Smith has since had loan spells at Barnsley, Yeovil and Latics and in total has made 114 competitive appearances (98 starts and 16 as a substitute) and scored four goals.
Keep logging on to the official website to hear what Johnson has to say about his latest capture and also from Smith on why he decided to make a permanent move to Boundary Park.
