Latics beaten in top-of-the-table clash
Oldham Athletic Ladies failed to go top of the table after losing 4-2 to leaders Reddish North End in Division Two of the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League.
It all started brightly for Athletic who opened a 2-0 lead in the opening half before they lost their way.
Shelby Newton put Latics ahead after 28 minutes with a shot from 25 yards.
Then five minutes later, Gemma Smith smashed home a second goal after good work from Alys Wild.
It wasn't a comfortable lead and Latics' goalkeeper Kim Shaw time and time again kept Reddish at bay.
A long ball after 35 minutes saw Katie DeMouilpied leave Rebecca Dinsdale in her wake and she slotted past Shaw to reduce the deficit to 2-1 at the break.
Reddish equalised early in the second half and went on to seal victory scoring two further goals.
