Stead signs in
Lee Johnson has added experienced striker Jon Stead to his squad. The central striker, who has played over 350 league and cup games for a variety of clubs, has scored almost 100 goals.
Stead began his career with his local team Huddersfield Town, his prolific start earning him a move to Premiership Blackburn Rovers.
Stead has had successful spells with several clubs including Ipswich Town and Bristol City before returning to Huddersfield in the summer of 2013.
The striker, who has also represented England at under 21 level, has joined Latics on an initial one month 'emergency' loan from Huddersfield Town and will be available for the trip to Swindon Town tomorrow, subject to Football League clearance.
