Latics have bolstered their defensive options by bringing in Adel Gafaiti from Norwich City.
The youngster, who has been a regular in Norwich's under 21 side this season, has initially joined the club until April 21.The 19-year-old central defender is available for tomorrow's game with Crewe Alexandra and goes straight into the squad.
Lee Johnson said: "We searched the market for an experienced defender but we couldn't get any in so the next best option was a very good talent from Norwich, which we are lucky to get our hands on."
He will wear the number six shirt.
