Paul Rachubka Previews Bradford

4 April 2014

Latics goalkeeper Paul Rachubka believes the side can keep up their impressive form as they face Bradford City on Saturday.

The 32-year-old has been in good form since gaining a starting spot from Mark Oxley and the goalkeeper always believed he would get his chance in the first team.

He said: "I always believe in my ability and it's all about being patient to be ready to take that chance. It can be a long wait but I'm enjoying being back in the team."

Since gaining the number one spot, Latics have gone unbeaten in the last four games but the former Manchester United trainee was quick to admit it is a team effort.

"I'd like to say I've had a big part in that but it's a time for everybody to take responsibility and build from this. The lads are starting to enjoy it now which comes with getting wins and good performances," admitted Rachubka.

"There is no reason why we can't go on a good run until the end of the season. I think that's the sole focus of the lads and I can't see why that can't happen. I imagine it's frustrating for the fans because it's taken us a long time to put a consistent run together when they have seen us produce good performances for 45/60 minutes. We know what we need to do and that is to perform until the final minute of the game."

With over 1,000 fans expected to make the trip to Yorkshire, the goalkeeper is hoping the fans will keep the feel good factor going and get behind the lads on Saturday.

"There have been some good atmospheres at home as of late. It's been a joy to go out there and be involved in," added the American. "We'll be looking to continue the good run we are on and the lads can go out and show what we are all about. With the way we set up, we've got every chance of getting three points."
