Jenny's London To Amsterdam Bike Ride

9 June 2014

Commercial manager Jenny Warburton and her partner Scott Jagger successfully completed the London to Amsterdam challenge this weekend in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

The pair, along with 150 other riders, started at Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium and cycled 150 miles, finishing at Ajax's Amsterdam Arena.

All of this was to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the UK.

Over 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year and one man dies every hour from prostate cancer.

Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life. It funds research into causes and treatments and provides support and information.

Speaking about her experience, Jenny said: "We had an amazing time doing the cycle challenge. It got difficult at times but the support we received from our fellow riders, event staff and everyone back home was immense.

"The event was fantastically organised by some amazing people and I would like to thank everyone who has supported the cause."

You can still donate to Prostate Cancer UK via the official JustGiving page or simply text OAFC95 £5 to 70070.

Everybody associated with Oldham Athletic AFC would like to congratulate Jenny and Scott for their achievements.
