Conor Wilkinson will return to parent club Bolton Wanderers after Saturday's game with Walsall following the duration of his loan period.
The 19-year-old will be in Saturday's squad to face the Saddlers but will return to Bolton as their new manager assesses his side.Wilkinson has made five appearances for Latics but has not managed to register a goal during his time.
Speaking about his impending departure, manager Lee Johnson said: "I am disappointed to lose Conor but I'm delighted for him as he has had a really good spell.
"It's a completely understandable decision as a new manager will want to bring everybody back to assess what they have. He is certainly a player we have enjoyed working with and would love to have back."
