Mills: "Still More To Come From Us."

21 October 2014

Oldham Athletic full back Joseph Mills believes there is more to come from the team as Coventry City head to SportsDirect.com Park for tonight's game.

Latics extended their unbeaten run on Saturday to 11 games with Mills starting the season in fine form, earning plaudits from the terraces.

With the Sky Blues currently sitting 15th in Sky Bet League One, the defender believes Latics should not fear their opponents and focus on themselves.

He said: "Coventry are known for being a good side with talented players. They have had a few injury problems and that never helps but we are going into this game focusing on ourselves and how we can hurt them.

"Hopefully we can put in a similar performance like we have the last couple of games and turn a few more draws into wins."

The 24-year-old admitted he it yet to reach his full potential but it enjoying the system the gaffer has implemented on the side.

"I feel we have a solid base to work from. I still think there is a lot to come from me and if we keep performing the way we can then we will go from there.

"With the way we play, it allows me to get forward a lot more. The way we started meant we had to be solid but now it allows me freedom to move forward," continued Mills.

"We've also got the front players that can hurt teams so we are finding the way we can play and I'm thoroughly enjoying it."

Latics face an onslaught of fixtures in the next coming weeks but it is something the player is relishing.

"With a lot of games coming up it means fatigue but we prepare and recover very well here. I'm looking forward to the games, like I do every game.

"Hopefully we can keep the nucleus of our team here but if we need to add one or two to freshen things up then I'm sure the manager will do so."
