REACTION: FA Cup Draw

28 October 2014

Manager Lee Johnson and midfielder Mike Jones have had their say on the FA Cup first round draw which took place yesterday.

Latics were drawn at home to Leyton Orient in an all-League One clash. The tie will take place on the weekend of November 8.

Johnson, who saw his side knocked out of the competition by Liverpool last season in the third round, said: "It is a good home draw and it will be a difficult game.

"Both teams would probably rather have had somebody from non-league but we do love the cup at the club. Orient beat us earlier in the season and are the only team to win here so we have got to get our vengeance in the nicest possible way."

Jones, who netted twice during October, added: "It's a tough draw but it is a home tie. That is what we wanted to start with but we have played Leyton Orient before and we know they are a good team.

"To get far in the competition you need to beat the best teams so we'll be going for the win and hopefully can proceed further in the competition."
