Captain Peter Clarke was pleased to pick up a point and a clean sheet against Swindon Town.
The defender, who is the club's current top goalscorer, admitted it was tough for his players but was happy to grind out a result.He said: "It was hard work, a tough shift and they had a lot of the ball and made us work.
"First half, I don't think we were as good as we have been, maybe that's the amount of games we've had recently catching up with us.
"We got in at half time, regrouped a little bit and in the second period we were a lot more like ourselves and on another day, we could have taken three points.
"It's another point to where we need to be. We have won our games at home in the last couple of days and this is another point picked up, well earned, so we will go home relatively pleased with it."
Connor Ripley kept his 13th clean sheet of the season but he had to thank Clarke for his last ditch defending late in the game.
"The ball bounced nicely for the lad so I had to make sure I got something in the way and I went full throttle," Clarke admitted.
"I kept my arms out the way to make sure there was no issue with that and thankfully I got plenty on it, and thankfully we managed to clear the ball."
Ripley has his eyes on the club's clean sheet record and Clarke says that the players are doing everything for the number one stopper.
"He made two, three, four good saves and he is well within his rights to talk about the clean sheet record because he's been brilliant for us," said the captain.
"We are going to do our utmost to make sure at the end of the season he has blown the clean sheet record out the water."
