Phil Parkinson - The 48-year-old took over Bolton Wanderers this summer after the departure of former manager Neil Lennon.
Parkinson enjoyed a successful five years with Bradford City previously, where he guided the club to the FA Cup quarter finals, League Cup final and promotion to Sky Bet League One through the play offs.
After a successful playing career, making over 500 appearances, he moved into management with Colchester United.
He masterminded an unlikely promotion to the Championship in 2006, however he left the club that summer to move to Hull City.
After only six months with Hull, he left and in 2007 he joined Charlton Athletic as assistant manager to Alan Pardew.
Following Pardew’s departure, he took over the reigns and enjoyed a three year spell.
In 2011 he was appointed Bradford City and in his second season in charge, he guided his side the League Cup final, beating Arsenal and Aston Villa on the way to the final.
They eventually lost to Swansea City in the final, but they did lift the Sky Bet League Two play off trophy the same season to gain promotion.
After keeping the club up in his first season back in League One, they embarked on an FA Cup run the following campaign.
They beat Chelsea in the fourth round of the competition at Stamford Bridge after trailing 2-0 and went on to lose in the quarter finals.
Last season, they reached the Sky Bet League One play offs but were beaten in the semi final by Millwall.
Parkinson opted to join Bolton Wanderers this summer and will be hoping to turn their fortunes around and get back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
Key player:
Zach Clough - The young striker has attracted a lot of interest from higher clubs for his services.
However, the Bolton academy graduate has been a key player for the Trotters since his introduction into the first team in the 2014/15 season.
He scored six times in 10 appearances, including three goals in his first two games.
Last season he finished Bolton’s top goalscorer as they were relegated to Sky Bet League One.
If he stays with Bolton Wanderers, he could be a real handful in this division.
