Manager Stephen Robinson is delighted to secure the deadline day signing of Cameron Dummigan on a permanent basis.
The full back impressed in his loan spell last season with Latics, scoring one goal in 27 appearances as he played a key part in Latics’ Sky Bet League One survival.
Speaking about the transfer, Robinson said: “Cameron is a boy who I’ve worked with since he was 16 and I know what sort of player he is.
"He will add to the squad and when a player of Cameron’s ability becomes available it’s very hard to turn down the opportunity of bringing him in.
“It’s a big plus that Cameron knows the area and is in familiar surroundings.
“A lot has changed around the club in terms of backroom staff and players, which I have made him aware of, but he knows what to expect from me, and I know what to expect from him so it’s a good deal all round."
