SIGNING: Flynn Signs For Oldham Athletic

13 July 2016

Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of former Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Flynn on a two-year deal.

Flynn becomes the ninth signing of the summer, and third of the day after Billy McKay and Marc Klok signed earlier today.

The 27-year-old began his career as a junior with Falkirk before signing for Premier League side Liverpool.

After a successful loan spell with Wrexham, and without playing a league game for Liverpool, he moved back to Falkirk on a permanent deal.

He excelled in Scotland, and in 2011, Sheffield United payed an undisclosed sum for the services of Flynn and he enjoyed five successful years with the Blades.

He scored 19 goals in just under 200 appearances for the club whilst helping them reach the play-offs three times.

Flynn will be in the squad for Saturday’s pre-season encounter with Huddersfield Town.

Welcome to the club, Ryan!
