Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of central defender Anthony Gerrard on a two and a half year contract.
Gerrard is no stranger to SportsDirect.com Park after two spells with the club previously.The defender helped mastermind Athletic’s Sky Bet League One survival last season, keeping eight clean sheets in 18 games for the club.
The 30-year-old has been training with the club over the past couple of months and has penned a contract which will see him stay with the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.
Manager John Sheridan said: “Anthony was a big part of us staying up last season so I’m very pleased to get him signed.
“The most important thing is he helps us stay in this division and then we look to the future once we have secured our place in this league.”
