Nicola promises to bring medal to Boundary Park

Nicola White has promised to bring her Olympic Games medal to Boundary Park.

The 24-year-old Oldhamer was a member of the Great Britain team which won the hockey bronze medal today at London 2012.

Great Britain beat New Zealand 3-1 in the play-off match for third and fourth places.

Nicola says she will be delighted to come to a Latics' game in the near future along with her medal.

She follows Latics from a distance as they are her home-town team, though her father Paul's home on Highfield Drive overlooks Boundary Park.

Raised in Shaw, Nicola is a former pupil at Hulme Grammar and she took up the sport at Saddleworth Hockey Club.
