BREAKING NEWS: Holden Placed In Temporary Charge

25 February 2015

Oldham Athletic can confirm that first team coach Dean Holden has been placed in temporary charge of first team affairs for the immediate future.

He will be assisted in this role by senior player, Adam Lockwood.

Speaking about his appointment, Holden said: "I'm delighted to accept the board's invitation to take charge of first team affairs for the foreseeable future.

"I'm also pleased to have Adam Lockwood assist me in my role as he is a well respected professional and can offer a good knowledge of the game.

"I am fully focused on getting a positive result from Saturday's game with Preston North End and will continue to prepare the squad for that game."

Chief Executive, Neil Joy said: "Dean and Adam are ideally placed to lead the team into Saturday’s game with Preston North End at SportsDirect.com Park and will provide the continuity needed in the coming period.

"After a difficult few days for the club we ask for all fans to continue to show their support for the club and to get behind the staff and players for what promises to be an exciting encounter."
