Holden: "I'm Looking Forward To Another Good Game With A Big Following Behind Us."

26 March 2015

First team boss Dean Holden is aiming for three wins out of three as he takes his side to the Coral Windows Stadium to face Bradford City on Saturday.

Confidence is high at SportsDirect.com Park at the moment after Rhys Turner's double helped seal back-to-back 3-0 victories over local rivals Rochdale on Tuesday night.

Holden was pleased with the effort from his players and has challenged them to continue their fine form.

He said: "We have had two very good wins in the last four days and it's been a pleasing week up to now. We are only fully focused on Saturday.

"It's great to look back on at the end of the season as we've had two good victories over our rivals but for us as a group it is about focussing on Saturday's game.

"We are one performance away from not throwing your season away but undoing all that hard work so the next performance is the most important one."

Latics sit just above Bradford in the league table and Holden's men will have to contend with the pitch at Valley Parade.

"It's not a concern but we might have to adapt a couple of things on the day," admitted the 35-year-old. "At Crewe, the pitch wasn't that great there either so you have to adapt to the conditions.

"We know what we are in for coming up against Bradford and we know all about them. We will be prepared physically and mentally come kick off and I'm looking forward to another good game with a big following behind us."

Holden could finally be having some luck with injuries as three of his key players are set to make a return to training.

"We have three back this morning, Liam Kelly, James Wilson and Joseph Mills. Jacob [Mellis] will probably be back involved in the training next week so we'll see how them three lads come through. They are chomping at the bit so it's great to have them around," said Holden.

"Mat Sadler should be alright [for Saturday's game]. I hope Rochdale's Jamie Allen is alright because he came off worse. I know Jamie from my time there and he's a great young player. I saw him at half time and he was in a bit of a bad way so hopefully he'll be okay sooner rather than later."
