Oldham Athletic have agreed terms with goalkeeper David Cornell on a one-year contract, with the option of a second, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old came through the youth ranks at Swansea City before being released in the summer.Cornell, capped by Wales at under 21 level, has been training with Latics since the start of pre-season.
Speaking about the deal, manager Kelly said: "He is a former Welsh international and he's come in and done well on trial.
"He will be good competition for Joel Coleman as they fight over the number one jersey for the new season."
