Over the weekend, five representatives from Oldham Athletic took part in the London to Amsterdam cycle challenge in aid or Prostate Cancer.
Commercial manager Jenny Warburton, her partner Scott Jagger, safety officer Bryan Lawton and supporters Rick Wallis and Rob Stockford all took part.
Warburton said: "What a fantastic two days. I’d personally like to thank team OAFC who all pulled together and supported each other from start to finish. We’ve had some great laughs and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to share this experience with.
"Bryan (tram track hating) Lawton was a fountain of knowledge and support, Rick (the Buddha) Wallis and his roadside antics made for great entertainment, Rob (one gear) Stockford kept spirits up along the journey and Scott (achoo) Jagger kept me going along a tough course with unfavourable weather conditions.
"More than ten thousand men die of prostate cancer each year and there are over a quarter of a million men living with the disease in the UK today. The fantastic work undertaken by Prostate Cancer UK funds vital research in to the treatments and causes of prostate cancer which is why it is vital that we support them.
"On behalf of the team and myself I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us on our journey. The money donated and messages of support have been so overwhelming – it really does mean so much!"
