Latics Announce Fan Funding Project

2 February 2016

Oldham Athletic AFC are delighted to announce the launch of a Fanfunding project.

The club have teamed up with Italian company Tifosy, and the initiative will be launched with one of their Directors, the former Italian International and Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli on Wednesday, February 3.

Tifosy initially conducted a survey of supporters to gauge interest and seek views on what funds should be put towards.

As a result of this it was determined that the project would be aiming to raise funds for a big screen or scoreboard for SportsDirect.com Park, and will follow the blueprint successfully used by Tifosy with other clubs, most notably Portsmouth FC who raised £270,000 for a new Training Academy.

The concept is very simple and enables fans to receive rewards linked to the amount donated.

Items range from certificates and wristbands, to attending a training session and meeting the players, or being a guest for a game in the brand new Boardroom.

Full details along with a launch video will be online on Thursday 4 February.

For now, here is the teaser video.
