Lifelong Oldham Athletic supporter and MasterChef 2015 winner Simon Wood has joined the club as executive chef.
Wood shot to fame in April, beating off tough competition from fellow finalists Tony Rodd and Emma Spitzer to claim the MasterChef trophy on BBC One.The 38-year-old will work closely with the club putting menus together and being present at special events.
He tweeted: "To be able to combine my love of food and football is an amazing opportunity and one that I cannot wait to get started on.
"Fairly confident that this is the best Saturday ever.... (11th May 1991, not included)."
