MasterChef 2015 winner Simon Wood is the new executive chef at Oldham Athletic AFC.
The 38-year-old will be developing a 'Simon Wood menu' three times a year for diners to enjoy in the Oldham Event Centre.
The first menu launches for the start of the new season on August 8, with the second menu created for the New Year and the final one to tie-in with spring.
Wood, a lifelong Oldham Athletic supporter, will also host regular culinary events at the Event Centre and every other month he will be creating bespoke menus for food lovers to enjoy in 'Dining with Simon Wood'.
Speaking about his appointment, Wood said: "It's phenomenal. If you can combine your love of football into one thing, especially with your home town, then you can't write your own job description better than that.
"I've already written around 18 sample dishes since I've found out I'll be coming here. I've been putting my time into writing menus and we will be good to go.
"There is going to be an element of fine dining around the new stand. It has to be good quality food but it has to be substantial as well for the clientele that is coming in.
"I'm looking forward to the experience. It's a dream come true for me and I can't wait to get started."
