Hi all, and thanks for logging on to the new official website.

I hope you like the end product of what has been a considerable amount of work for both the club and its service providers, Premium TV and FLi.  The Internet has progressed incredibly over the last few years, and I feel this latest version brings Oldham Athletic's online presence well and truly into the 21st Century.

I'd like to make all supporters aware of just how important a tool oldhamathletic.co.uk is.  In today's football world, conjecture and speculation tend to rule - believe me, I've found that out since myself, Simon and Danny took over the club.

The club's official site, therefore, is useful to us in getting our real message across to fans.  We don't deal in speculation, only in facts - and this website is where you'll get to read all about it first.  If we're signing a player or making a major announcement, for example, then it'll be straight on here, as well as all the latest news and views from the club.

Also, if myself, Simon or John have anything to say then the official site is where we'll come to first.  We all see it as a reliable method of getting what we want to say out to the fans, and in that sense it's an invaluable communications tool.  You all know very well that as owners we like to communicate with supporters, and I'm sure this format will make it easier to do that.

The site's also a valuable money-making tool.  One of our key aims when we took over was to make the club self-sufficient, and while the website won't do that all by itself, every little helps.  Oldhamathletic.co.uk is just one part of our online portfolio - we've also got World, LaticsBet, online poker, online shopping and much more.  These services are all here for you to use, so take advantage.

I hope you get behind what we're trying to achieve with these upgrades as much as you have on the terraces.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - our fans are certainly the best in the league.  Your backing throughout the season has been invaluable, and I'd like to thank you all again for that.
