FA CUP REPLAY ARRANGEMENTS
Following consultation with fans, Latics have confirmed that the Detect All Alarms Chaddy Road End will be closed for the FA Cup First Round Replay against Cheltenham Town at Boundary Park.
The game will be played on Tuesday, November 18 (KO 7.45pm) and tickets are on sale now at the Boundary Park ticket office.
Athletic will be operating with two stands open for this game - the Pentagon Vauxhall Main Stand and the Leesfield Developments Stand.
The decision has been taken to close the Detect All Alarms Stand not only to save money on operating costs, but to allow supporters to take advantage of the superior facilities at the opposite end of the ground, including a fully licensed bar.
It is also hoped that by grouping fans together, as opposed to splitting at two seperate ends, the noise levels will be increased within the ground to create a better atmosphere as the lads look to reach the Second Round.
Fans are reminded that a £2 discount on matchday prices applies to tickets purchased in advance. Normal matchday prices apply for this fixture.
Chief executive Alan Hardy said: "We had a similar arrangements for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Morecambe and the fans fully understoof the decision taken by the club, which helped to keep costs significantly lower.
"We hope that those fans that decide to use the Leesfield Developments Stand will create the atmosphere which will give the team a lift and ensure our progress into the next round."
