Latics are asking season ticket holders to relocate to the small section of the Leesfield Developments Stand for the first game of the season against Stockport County on August 8 (KO 3pm).

Stockport supporters have been allocated 3,000 seats in the large section of the stand, with Latics fans allocated in the 1,600-capacity small section.

Therefore home supporters will be asked to relocate temporarily to the small section of the stand for this game. The Pentagon Vauxhall Main Stand and Detect All Alarms Chaddy End are also available for Latics fans.

Chief executive Alan Hardy said: "Following discussions with Greater Manchester Police, it has been agreed to house Stockport supporters in the large section of the Leesfield Developments Stand.

"This was also the case last year when Stockport brought 2,130 supporters.  We apologise to our valued season ticket holders and hope they will understand the club's need to maximise revenue in these difficult financial times.

"Of course we will be asking Stockport for an increased allocation of tickets for the return fixture at Edgeley Park on January 16.  We hope they reciprocate our gesture."

To enable home supporters in the Leesfield Developments Stand to sit together when relocated, the club will be issuing reserved seating in the small section to all season ticket holders.

Therefore, season ticket holders will need to bring their season ticket books for each seat to the ticket office by 5pm on Thursday, August 6 so that tickets can be issued for seats located together.

Voucher 6 will be removed from all season ticket books when the 'new' tickets are issued.
