SHERIDAN'S EASTER MONDAY PREVIEW
John Sheridan will be looking to steer his side away from an Easter Monday backlash at the Keepmoat Stadium tomorrow.
Promotion hopefuls Doncaster go into the season's fifth fixture against Athletic smarting after a 2-1 defeat against Yeovil Town at Huish Park.
Lloyd Owusu scored what turned out to be the winner when he robbed Rovers keeper Neil Sullivan as the veteran attempted to dribble past him.
And the Yorkshire side will be targeting three points as a matter of urgency against an Athletic side with whom they have been well-matched this season.
Both sides have claimed a victory each from the four games between the two sides in 2007/08 with the other two fixtures ending in draws.
But Latics will be out for revenge after a hotly-disputed penalty earned Rovers a draw at Boundary Park earlier in the season, and Sheridan is expecting a difficult test.
He said: "We've played Doncaster a number of times already this season and we know what they can do.
"They're going for automatic promotion and we know it's going to be a tough game, but we can win it if we play as we can.
"We've done well against them this season apart from the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game and will be going there looking to make it as difficult for them as possible."
And, for Sheridan, Sean O'Driscoll's high-flyers pack a particularly potent threat in ex-Latics playmaker Richie Wellens.
"Richie is a great player and I would've loved to have kept him here but these things happen," the Boundary Park chief revealed.
"We will have to keep a close eye on Richie because he is a big part of Doncaster's team."
