Manager John Sheridan is still hoping to dip into the market once more before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The Latics chief has targeted one more player to round off his squad - and could make a move before the week is out.

But Sheridan remained tight-lipped about the identity of the player and where he currently plies his trade.

Neither would he reveal the position to be filled by the unknown target.

"I've enquired about one player and I'm trying to get him in," he said.

"I'm very hopeful but we will just have to wait and see."

However, Sheridan did confirm that any potential move would most likely be a loan deal.
