WE DESERVED THREE POINTS - SHEZ
Latics chief John Sheridan hailed his side's performance at both ends of the pitch as he reflected on a 1-0 win at Northampton.
Andy Liddell scored the winner from the penalty spot with 15 minutes left to secure a welcome three points against a side who hadn't lost at home all season.

Athletic - who carved out a number of useful opportunites - had to weather a late storm but emerged good value for the points.
"I thought we thoroughly deserved this result today," said Sheridan, whose side remain seventh in the League One table.
"Northampton is a hard place to come, but we've got the three points and the manner in which we did so was very pleasing.
"We were solid, had good shape and were controlling the game up until we scored, after which we took our foot off the pedal a little.
"But it was a great display in a very hard game, and the most important thing at the end of the day is that we've got three points.
"We were compact and when we had to defend we did that well, but we created some good opportunities as well."
He added: "Kevin [Maher] has kept his head down in training and got on with things. When his chance comes along he has taken it.
"Meanwhile Darren Byfield came in yesterday and he worked his socks off for the team today. 1-0 is the best result.
"Yes, one or two things have gone on [recently] but we all love the club and at the end of the day everyone wants to do well for Oldham. Hopefully this result will put smiles on faces."
