NO POSITIVES, RAPS SHERIDAN
Manager John Sheridan refused to blame the Huish Park pitch after Yeovil held his side to a point.
Latics found themselves 2-1 down after Deane Smalley's opener, but an own goal from Terrell Forbes secured an away draw.
Smalley hit the bar late on to deepen the boss's frustration as his side climbed to fourth position in League One.
The playing surface cut up early on but Sheridan didn't feel his side could use that as a valid excuse.
"We didn't get going and today was probably the worst we've played all season," he said.
"Whether the pitch was bad or not, we cannot blame that as we just didn't get going today, although we could have won it in the end.
"We couldn't control the ball and it was a shocking game from both sides. Considering the manner of the performance I have to be pleased with a point.
"But we were very sloppy and it's frustrating because, with no disrespect to Yeovil, the game was there to be won.
"There were no positives today apart from the fact we took a point. I don't want to be too negative so I suppose a point is something."
And he called on striker Smalley to learn from his late miss. The youngster smashed a loose ball against the bar eight minutes from time.
He added: "Deane tried to take the leather off the ball - he must learn to stroke the ball into the net.
"We could have taken three valuable points there but it wasn't to be."
