Opened in 1897, Elland Road has been sigificantly developed into what it is today -- the biggest ground in League One with an all-seated capacity of 40,204.

Ex-chairman Peter Ridsdale had unveiled various plans for the redevelopment of the stadium up to a capacity of 67,000 before the club's fall from grace, and they are reportedly currently attempting to buy back the ground, sold in an attempt to ease United's crippling financial problems.

Saltergate is widely recognised as one of the oldest grounds still in use in the United Kingdom. It was inaugrated in 1871, and has a current capacity of 8,054. The Club have recently announced their intention to move to a new, purpose-built site elsewhere in the town.

GETTING THERE - BY CAR
Piece of cake.  Take your preferred route to join the M62 (East) and branch onto the M621(M621 Leeds, A62 Batley, Morley) after Hartshead Moor services.

Leave the M621 at junction 2 (Wetherby, Harrogate, York), then take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A643 (Morley).  Then turn right onto Lowfields Road for the ground.

BY TRAIN
Regular trains run direct to Leeds from Manchester Victoria (also stopping at Mills Hill in some cases).  For information on travelling by train, click here.

WHERE TO PARK
There are large car parks located very near to the ground, with spaces priced at £3.

WHERE TO DRINK
The Old Peacock is a home supporters' pub and should be avoided, but the Dry Salters pub is located about ten minutes away from the ground.  There is also a McDonald's adjacent to the stadium, and a chip shop nearby.
