MEDIA INFORMATION
Oldham Athletic aims to provide an efficient and effective service to visiting members of the Press.
Boundary Park contains over 50 Press seats - a mixture of covered and uncovered accommodation - plus a gantry for television coverage and a Press room for post-match interviews.
The Club's Press Officer is Stu Vose. He can be contacted by email at stuart.vose@oldhamathletic.co.uk, or by phone on 0871 226 1681.
Gordon Lawton (gordon.lawton@oldhamathletic.co.uk) also deals with Press enquiries, while any matchday media queries should be directed to Roy Butterworth, the club's Matchday Press Officer.
Applications for Press accreditation should be made to Judith Lane via fax (0871 226 1715) or email (judith.lane@oldhamathletic.co.uk). Press professionals should note that their applications will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by a valid Football League Licence Number.
For the 2008/09 season all members of the media MUST show relevant Press accreditation or a Football League card issued by Football DataCo.
Power sockets are available and should be requested together with the initial accreditation submission.
Visiting Webmasters / Press Officers are allocated a power socket and analogue telephone line in accordance with the Football League requirements. Colleagues at other clubs are actively encouraged to contact OAFC's Press department if they have any other needs.
ISDN lines can be organised through the Club, but availability is limited so early booking is recommended.
Members of the Press should also note that wireless Internet access is available free of charge at Boundary Park. Visiting Press should contact Stu Vose to acquire a username and password.
Any outlets wishing to acquire a space on the television gantry should contact Stu Vose to arrange access as space is limited.
Photographers should report to the Main Entrance to pick up a photographers' bib, which must be returned to a steward at the end of the game.
A small Press room is available for use after the game solely for post-match interviews. A limited range of food and drink is also available in this room, as are branded interview backdrops (if required).
Both managers will normally attend a Press Conference in the Press room after the game. However, the visiting manager may first choose to conduct interviews with the away side's local radio station at the top of the Main Stand before proceeding to the Press room. This is at his discretion and that of the visiting Press Officer.
Oldham Athletic's Manager, John Sheridan, will proceed straight to the Press room with Matchday Press Officer Roy Butterworth once he has declared himself available for interview.
The Manager will first take part in an interview with the Club's official website before the floor is opened up to other media outlets. Other interviews, such as those neccessitating television recording equipment, can be arranged with the Manager through Roy Butterworth.
Any requests for interviews with members of the Oldham Athletic playing staff can also be directed to Roy.
The visiting club's Press Officer is granted access to all areas, including the away dressing room, and any members of the Press wishing to speak to a visiting player should speak to the away side's media representative directly.
Visiting webmasters / Press Officers are permitted to carry out interviews pitchside. Please do not encroach onto the playing surface at any time.
The Club will be pleased to assist with any queries members of the Press may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us using the details listed above.
