Latics suffered a narrow defeat despite having the better of the second half in Dhaka.

With Mohammedan leading 2-1 after 50 minutes, Latics came on strong and created a string of decent opportunities.  Only a superb display by the home side's keeper prevented further goals for the visitors.

The game will have proved a useful acclimatisation exercise for Athletic, who played the 90 minutes in strength-sapping 35-degree heat.
