Winger Chris Taylor looks set for a return for the final home game of the season against Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

The youngster has been laid low by a virus over the last week but is now fighting fit and attended last night's Awards Dinner.

He missed the defeat at Northampton and did not train early this week.

But the paceman should return for this Saturday's game, giving manager John Sheridan a timely boost.

He is expected to battle with Jason Jarrett, Mark Allott, Deane Smalley, Andy Liddell and Neal Eardley for a midfield spot.

But Gary McDonald will not be in contention as medical staff are taking no chances with his hamstring problem.

Saturday's game is the last before the New Start Mortgages is knocked down after over 30 years of service.

Club officials are opening cash turnstiles in the large section of the Cable Comms Rochdale Road End for fans wishing to sit behind the goal.

Visiting Cheltenham fans have been allocated the small area of seating in the RRE, with a total capacity of 1,600 seats.
