Oldham Athletic v Cheltenham Town
Match Preview with Stu Vose

Athletic will play their final home game of the 2007/08 season when Cheltenham Town visit tomorrow.

Fans will also say goodbye to the New Start Mortgages Stand, which is set to be razed to the ground during the summer.

And while Athletic have little but pride to play for -- they mathematically cannot rise above seventh nor drop below 14th -- the stakes are a little higher for visitors Cheltenham.

The Robins are still looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone.

Just three points seperate Keith Downing's side from Gillingham in the final relegation spot, while Bournemouth -- just a point further back -- are also still within striking distance.

Things could get interesting should results not go their way tomorrow, and boss Downing is calling on his players to 'finish the job' at Boundary Park.

But his charges are short of form at the moment, having lost their last three games, two of those away from home.

The latest of those defeats came at Crewe last weekend, who boosted their own relegation hopes with a 3-1 win, star striker Nicky Maynard scoring all three goals.

Cheltenham have struggled for much of the season and lay second-bottom at the turn of the year.

Downing drafted in Steve Brooker and Alex Russell on loan from Bristol City on a temporary basis, with Brooker weighing in with five vital goals.

A sensational 2-1 win at Leeds boosted survival hopes, and the Robins followed that up with a crucial 1-0 home victory over Bristol Rovers before going unbeaten in a further three games.

The run of three defeats has plunged Town back into the relegation mire -- but they will all but secure their League One status for next season should they win at Boundary Park.

John Sheridan welcomes JP Kalala and Gary McDonald back into the squad following injury.

But he will be without winger Chris Taylor, who will not be included after picking up a knock in midweek.

Downing is likely to have Alex Russell and Alan Wright available for selection, but Damian Spencer (knee) John Finnigan (ankle), Gavin Caines (knee) and Michael Townsend (ankle) are out.
