A book of condolence in remembrance of Latics legend Ernie Cooksey is now open in the Latics Club Shop.

Fans around the country have paid tribute to Ernie after he sadly lost his battle against cancer surrounded by his family.  He was 28.

Now, friends including Martin Thomas and ex-Latics defender David Beharall have opened the book in the Club Shop to allow supporters to pay their own personal tribute to one of Latics' most popular players of all time.

The book will remain open in the Shop until next Friday (July 11), when it will be collected and handed to Ernie's partner, Louise.  We are urging fans to sign the book in order to pay a lasting tribute to Ernie.
