Leeds United boss Gary McAllister is looking forward to welcoming old pals John Sheridan and Tommy Wright to Elland Road tomorrow.

The trio's paths crossed many times during their illustrious and lengthy careers, and battle will be joined again when Athletic head over the Pennines tomorrow.

"John is a player I played against loads of times," McAllister told leedsunited.com.

"He is a guy I admired a lot.  He always had class.  I liked his style and he likes to portray that through his team. They like to pass and be competitive.

"I know Tommy as well - we were team-mates at Leicester - and with his ethos and will to win, it'll be a tough game.

"Oldham are a good side, and their target will be to be pushing the play-offs."
