McALLISTER FUMES AFTER LATICS LOSS
Leeds chief Gary McAllister was left furious after seeing friends John Sheridan and Tommy Wright leave Elland Road with all three points.
A bumper Elland Road crowd gathered after United made a winning start to the season against Scunthorpe and Chester, but two Chris Taylor goals won Leeds' home opener for Latics.
Speaking to leedsunited.com after the game, McAllister pulled no punches as he laid into his side, saying: "It was a poor performance.
"The anger is burning away inside my stomach but that is holding me back a little.
"I want time to reflect and have a look at the video and maybe count to ten, because our performance was not good."
The result moved Athletic to joint-top in League One - they are second only on alphabetical order with an identical record to Carlisle United.
