Cheltenham chief Keith Downing has been busy in the loan market as he looks to strengthen his squad.

The Robins travel north to Boundary Park with a number of loan players in their ranks following frenzied transfer activity recently.

Downing handed debuts to two loan players as Town saw off Swindon at home last weekend, and drafted in another earlier this week.

Experienced striker Barry Hayles made his Cheltenham bow against Maurice Malpas's men after joining on loan from Leicester City.

The 36-year-old has signed an initial one-month loan deal at Whaddon Road after failing to break into the side at the Walkers Stadium.

And Bristol City winger Jennison Myrie-Williams returned for his second spell last week and picked up the man of the match award against Swindon.

Meanwhile, Charlton midfielder Dean Sinclair also returned for his second loan tenure at the club on Monday and could make his debut against Athletic this weekend.

Cheltenham sold last season's top scorer Steven Gillespie to Colchester over the summer for an undisclosed six-figure fee.
