Manager John Sheridan has admitted he is faced with a selection headache ahead of tomorrow's big game against Huddersfield Town at Boundary Park.

Striker Craig Davies is pushing for a recall after banging in a quick-fire hat-trick for the reserves against Stockport in midweek - meaning he has now scored four goals in just two games for the second string.

And Sheridan must now decide whether to throw the ex-Verona man in against the Terriers tomorrow or stick with the established pairing of Lee Hughes and Lewis Alessandra.

Davies has started only two League games for Athletic this season after top-scoring with 15 goals in an injury-curtailed campaign last time around.

But Sheridan should be able to call on the services of five-goal frontman Hughes after he shrugged off the groin injury which has troubled him recently.

"Lee's had a bit of a niggle but he's trained this week and is getting stronger.  Hopefully he can carry on what he's doing, which is hitting the back of the net."
