John Sheridan will be able to call on seven substitutes for tomorrow's FA Cup game against Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road.

Originally trialled in the Carling Cup, the experiment - which is now the norm in the Premier League - will also take place in the FA Cup.

Therefore Sheridan will have additional options to choose from during the game, although only three of the seven subs can be used.

The Latics chief has named an 18-man squad for tomorrow's game against the Robins, whom Athletic have already faced once this season.
