Referee Tony Bates, from Staffordshire, will take charge of tonight's FA Cup Sponsored by E.ON First Round Replay between Athletic and Cheltenham Town at Boundary Park.

The Staffordshire official has already refereed John Sheridan's side this season, sending off Sean Gregan in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.

Gregan's red is the only dismissal Bates has made this season in 15 games, during which time he has produced the yellow card 31 times.

Bates took charge of 36 games last season, showing 85 yellow cards and two reds.  He was in the middle for the 1-0 home defeat to Northampton back in October 2007.
