Latics and Cheltenham Town will go again tonight to decide which team will face a trip to Morecambe's Christie Park in the Second Round of the FA Cup Sponsored by E.ON.

The original tie at Whaddon Road ended in a 2-2 draw after second-half goals from Chris Taylor and Danny Whitaker cancelled out the Robins' 2-0 lead established by Scott Murray and Lloyd Owusu.

Tonight's game will be the fourth FA Cup tie played between the two sides - indeed, Athletic are yet to beat the Robins in the world's premier cup competition.

But they had rather more joy in League action earlier in the season as a hat-trick from Lee Hughes and a late goal from Danny Whitaker earned Athletic a 4-0 home win over Town back in August.

Martin Allen has masterminded something of an improvement in performances since taking over at Whaddon Road without seeing a significant upturn in results.

The Robins, though, showed what they were capable of by putting Athletic to the sword in the first half of the original tie before Shez's men stormed out after the break to tie the contest.

And Latics boss John Sheridan will be taking nothing for granted against a Cheltenham side who continue to struggle in the League.

Saturday's 3-0 reverse at newly-promoted Hereford United stretched their winless run to six games in all competitions, but Allen will be targeting the FA Cup to spark a revival in his side's fortunes.

Latics  will definitely be without Neal Eardley, who is on international duty with Wales.  Meanwhile Lee Hughes serves a one-match ban and Darren Byfield has been refused permission to play in the FA Cup by parent club Doncaster Rovers.

Danny Whitaker will also miss out with the ankle problem which kept him out of the Northampton game, and the Latics camp will make a late check on the fitness of Deane Smalley as he battles a hip problem.

Elvis Hammond (ineligible) will miss out for Cheltenham, as will Alex Russell (ankle) and Shane Duff (achilles).  Boss Martin Allen has reportedly threatened changes and could replace Shane Higgs with Scott P Brown in goal.

Allen will be without a further member of his squad through injury but declined to reveal the identity of the player in question, who was hurt during the Hereford game.

If tonight's tie ends in a draw after 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time will be played, followed by penalties if the scores remain level.
