Neal Eardley will be hoping for some joy on the international front tonight when Wales take on Denmark in Brondby tonight.

The Latics defender played a key role in the Red Dragons' ultimately unsuccessful Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, and captained the U21 side against England.

But he will come up against stiff competition for a right-back berth in tonight's international friendly before returning to Boundary Park in time for the Southend game.

Eardley, 20, recently passed the landmark of 100 senior games for Athletic and has featured regularly on the right side of defence this season.
