Referee Phil Crossley has been appointed to take charge of Athletic's game against Southend United at Roots Hall tomorrow.

Crossley has officiated on 14 occasions so far this season, showing 31 yellow cards and 2 reds.  His most recent game was Leeds' 5-2 FA Cup First Round Replay win at Northampton on Monday.

The Kent-based official did not take charge of a League game last season but was on duty on 26 occasions in 2006/07, racking up a tally of 84 yellow cards and six reds.

He last took charge of a Latics game back in January 2007, when John Sheridan's side battled to a 2-2 draw with Championship outfit Wolves at Molineux.
