Latics' latest Sporting Dinner proved to be a big hit with over 200 people packing into Hotel Smokies Park last Thursday.

The audience of business people and private individuals enjoyed great catering and had the chance to win an array of great prizes.

Speaker Andy Ritchie regaled the audience with anecdotes from his playing career, including lifting the lid on some the shenanigans at Boundary Park during the 'Pinch Me' years!

And star attraction Roger De Courcey had the assembled crowd rolling up with a brilliant set, including an appearance from the famous Nookie the Bear.

Chief executive Alan Hardy said: "The club would like to thank the companies and individuals who supported this event.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable night.

"It was good to see Andy back, and certainly Roger De Courcey and Nookie Bear had the audience in stitches."

The evening also featured an auction, with competitive bidding for a number of lots including a signed John Terry training shirt.
